Keeping Our Communities Safe and Prepared, Every Day
Being prepared for emergencies is crucial at home, school, work and in our communities. In 2004-2005, the Monsanto Fund assisted eight communities with $126,315 in grants that purchased equipment and training for first responders.
Because each community has specific needs, we work with local Monsanto people and community representatives to ensure that our contributions fit with their overall strategy. In one such project, our Holden's Foundation Seeds affiliate in Williamsburg, Iowa, identified a need for fire equipment. The Monsanto Fund provided a grant of $15,000 for new respiratory protection equipment and training to the community's fire department.
The Monsanto Fund is committed to helping keep our communities safe, secure, and prepared.
