Supporting Community Projects with the United Way
The Monsanto Fund is committed to giving back to the communities where Monsanto operates and where our people live. As part of this commitment, we support the United Way in many communities.
The issues addressed by United Way projects are determined locally. Some projects help children in low-income neighborhoods begin school ready to learn. Others strengthen families with parenting education, counseling, and crisis services. Some healthcare-related efforts include improving healthcare access for under- and uninsured people, reducing the incidence of low birth-weight babies, and providing services for alcohol and substance abuse. In addition, some programs help people develop work skills, financial literacy, and access to financial services.
These are just a few examples of how United Ways are strengthening local communities.
