As a philanthropic arm of Bayer, we’re focused on one goal—strengthening the communities where Bayer customers and employees live and work. Bayer Fund provides funding for food and nutrition, education, and community development projects. The Fund also supports employee programs, which include the matching gifts program and United Way of Greater St. Louis annual employee campaign.
During 2018, Bayer Fund (operating as Monsanto Fund) awarded $18.2 million in grants to more than 2,000 charities and nonprofit organizations globally.

Bayer Fund is honored to work with quality organizations around the world who are improving lives in our priority giving areas. As expected, there are a few guidelines and rules we follow to ensure maximum program effectiveness.
To be considered for funding, organizations must have IRS 501(c)(3) status or an international equivalent or they must be a unit of government under Section 170(c)(1), such as public schools, libraries, villages and municipalities. All organizations must have been operating for a minimum of two years, and be in compliance with our Non-Discrimination Policy.
Bayer Fund is not able to provide support for:
Consumer or governmental lobbying or advocacy
Benefits, dinners, advertisements (sponsorships)
Religious organizations for religious purposes
Trade or business associations
Grants for individual aid or personal support
Activities that directly support marketing programs
Projects in which Bayer Fund or Bayer has a financial interest, or from which either one could derive a financial benefit.
